As a follow-up to our previous blog about affordable furniture, this post is going to focus on furnishing your home with higher end pieces. While all the manufacturers we mentioned before (like Flexsteel, Palliser, Modus, and Winner’s Only) all offer stylish furniture at great prices, we carry other manufacturers that come at a higher price tag. This doesn’t mean that the lower-priced manufacturers are low quality, it just means that the manufacturers use different materials and have different designer labels.

Lexington Home Brands
Lexington has been a leader in upscale furnishings for years, covering a range of styles. At Lexington, collections are designed for specific styles, like the Monterey Sands collection that was inspired by this very coastal town. Beginning with simple transitional forms, the Monterey Sands group is crafted with wire-brushed gray elm that highlights the natural grain of the wood. Additional bronze metal accents makes the furniture glow while offering a bit of industrial style to balance it out. If you are looking for something more traditional, check out Kensington Place, a collection that is a fresh take on the classic shapes and forms of the traditional style. The graceful scalloped corners and antiqued mirrored fronts are perfect accents for the mahogany woodwork. These solid wood occasional pieces are just beautiful!
We love all of the living room pieces, and we carry some of our favorite sofas in our Monterey showroom. The Barton Sofa is a beautiful and minimal take on a traditional sofa, one that can shine in a transitional setting, or blend into a classic contemporary living room. The angular wooden legs and square back cushions speak to the contemporary vibes of the sofa, with the tufting of the rounded arms are a sweet and delicate accent. Customize it with any choice of fabric and dress it up or down with throw pillows or other accessories.
Stressless
Many of you already know about the amazing Stressless Recliners. This Norwegian manufacturer is a pioneer of the latest innovative comfort technology, like the ErgoAdapt System, the Plus System, and LegComfort System that all adapt to your body for maximum comfort. The ErgoAdapt is a tilting mechanism that will adjust to your body as you relax, placing you in the perfect position for your comfort. The Plus System is similar, but it adjusts your head rest as you recline, taking away any possibility of putting effort into finding the right support for your neck. Finally, the LegComfort System is the ultimate footrest. Powered either by battery or by electrical outlet, the footrest is ergonomically curled under the chair so it takes up as little room as possible, and can be adjusted to extend out to any length based on the height of the person sitting in the chair. These innovative technologies are the reason why Stressless is so well known, and why the chair comes with a high price tag.
On top of these systems, Stressless has introduced numerous collections and styles to fit every design need. One of our favorite chairs by Stressless is the Mayfair. The Mayfair recliner is a classic. Available in three different bases like the Classic Base, Signature Base, or Leg Comfort, you can spruce it up with the chrome star shape of the Signature Base, or establish a more casual look with the Classic Base.
Hooker
Hooker Furniture has been in business since 1925 and they have been leaders in the industry ever since. Hooker carries many different lines including Bradington-Young and Sam Moore, offering furniture for every room of the house. Some of our favorite pieces are from the bedroom collection, but the dining room and living room are also unique, and the office furniture is incredible. Ranging in styles from French country to contemporary chic, Hooker has amazing furniture to invest in.
The Beaumont Bedroom Collection is one of our all time favorite bedroom sets. The beautifully crafted headboard with soft gray linen upholstery is luxurious, while the gray-finished wood with natural undertones humbles it. Delicate while sturdy, this bed is inspired by antique furniture but is given new life with modern upholstery materials and colors. Pair this bed with its correlating accessories like chests, dressers, nightstands, or mirrors. The Beaumont Two-Drawer Nightstand and Nine Drawer Dresser have the same soft-toned gray wash and reflect the scalloped details on the headboard. Antique pulls on these pieces add a bit more ornament to the collection. Finally, the Beaumont Bachelor’s chest is a bit more bold in both form and color.
